The European Commission has launched a new €2.4 billion call for innovative technologies to achieve net zero emissions. The funding is provided through the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and aims to strengthen industrial capacity, technological leadership and economic resilience in Europe.
These investments support the development and deployment of renewable energy solutions, energy efficiency and energy storage. Europe aims not only to reduce emissions, but also to create a strong ecosystem that ensures energy independence and economic stability.
The call for applications is open until April 2025.
