An electric boiler was installed in the house, as a backup and to save electricity, a solid fuel boiler was added to the boiler room scheme.<\/p>\n

Solution<\/strong>: After analyzing the engineering systems of the house and the parameters of thermal loads at the facility, our specialists decided to install an 11.5 kW air-to-water heat pump to the existing heating system.<\/p>\n

Result:<\/strong>The installed heat pump covers about 80% of the building’s maximum heat load, taking into account that the electric boiler is switched on on the coldest days. Also, the Customer still has the opportunity to be heated with firewood. In addition, the automation of heating of the hot water supply boiler and recirculation of hot water was installed and brought to the control of the smartphone.<\/p>\n

Rising gas<\/strong> and electricity<\/strong> prices often increase household heating and hot water costs exponentially<\/strong>. Even the transition to heating with biomass<\/strong> (solid fuel boiler) does not help, since there is not always access to cheap fuel, and it is not always possible to work as a \u201cstoker\u201d.<\/p>\n

We will consider one of such illustrative examples today, where some of the standard energy efficiency solutions have already been adopted by the Customer at the construction stage, but given the constant increase in tariffs, they turned out to be insufficient<\/strong> for acceptable energy bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, we were faced with a private house, to which from the energy sources only electricity was supplied. Accordingly, an electric boiler<\/strong> was installed, as a backup and to save energy, a solid fuel boiler<\/strong> was added to the boiler room scheme.<\/p>\n

But the cost of firewood has increased sharply over the past year, and electricity consumption is quite high. In anticipation of an increase in electricity tariffs, the Customer set out to find an alternative way of heating and hot water supply at home.<\/p>\n

An additional advantage of this house was:<\/p>\n

  1. Measures already taken to insulate the building<\/strong> during the construction phase (what is the right thing to do with any heat source).<\/li>\n
  2. The heating system has been completed with underfloor heating<\/strong> (which allows the heat pump to operate at a higher C.O.P.).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To reduce capital costs, the heat pump<\/strong> was selected as the main heat source to cover about 80%<\/strong> of the building’s thermal load, taking into account the inclusion of an electric boiler on the coldest days (below -5 … -10 \u2103<\/strong>). Also, the Customer still has the opportunity to be heated with firewood, if there is time and an acceptable price for this raw material.<\/p>\n

    The entire system was configured to work automatically with the ability to remotely control<\/strong> the heat pump via the Internet<\/strong> from a smartphone<\/strong> (with iOS<\/strong> or Android<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

    In addition, the automation<\/strong> of heating of the hot water supply boiler and recirculation of hot water was installed and brought to the control of the smartphone,which allows you to turn on these systems as needed<\/strong> or at night at a reduced rate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
